Unable to load once its delete and published again

Hey,

when the versions are deleted from browser, we tried to publish again on the same variant and we couldn’t able to load them anymore through Loader,not seeing through the browser

    For reference, deleting products from the desktop browser deletes the published files but doesn't delete the corresponding product version entity on the server, rather it only adds deleted tag.

    on contrast, when deleting from the browser tab on the AYON Server, it deleted the product version entity but doesn’t delete the corresponding published files.

    Hello, could you be more specific which type of delete action aka where did you trigger it? And provide any error logs etc?

    …there are multiple ways of deleting product and its versions e.g via Browser tool or via AYON webUI.

    I have performed some tests with the above one and it works perfectly ok. Just a note that Delete action does not remove any files just DB entries so one has to manually delete those from disk or keep em and simply let them overwrite during publishing e.g

      I’ve deleted from the ayon tool browser(Not from web browser (chrome))

      here is the example of what we have done:

      1. Publish the exrs/cache with tray or DCC
      2. Go to the Browser from tray, choose the published product Right click and choose (Delete Old Versions options) choose 0(so no version will be staying)
      3. Publish again exrs/cache with same variant name, it publishes without any errors

      4. Its not showing in the Loader, but the data is going to the publish folders.

        Thanks for more info. I have investigated / chat with the devs and it seems that Delete old versions action been broken as it is originating from OpenPype days and need updating to work within AYON fully. So you should avoid using it nowadays and choose other ways to remove versions via webUI instead till this will be resolved.

          we couldn’t able to delete all version at once, seems like 100version needs 100 actions, can this be powered in web?

            Yep, not possible. But there are ways to delete any DB entry via Ayon API console commands…

            I won’t give you exact step-by-step but you can investigate by yourself in developer docs tho.
