This can be fully achieved with existing custom attributes and filtering. You can technically also set “active'“ flag already on all entities, which hides them from the UI. it’s just not exposed anywhere, so people don’t panic when they change it and things disappear. we might consider improving that eventually, but it’s a fairly low priority. with the filters in place.
