Would be awesome if we can duplicate custom columns, because often you’d set one up and need something very similar next to it. Right click on a column and then “Duplicate” would be ideal
These columns are derived from the entity attributes. Currently, to see another column, you can create an attribute in Attributes page. then you can copy the data from column 1 to column 2
I think the button you mentioned in the request can automate this process a bit.

Yes, its for intuitive behavior for producers/supervisors who are used to this behavior in spreadsheets like excel/sheets. I’ve seen a few supervisors now run into this problem.
This also means that the DATA in the columns get copied by the way. Not just the column itself.

tbh, not everyone can create attributes on the server. and once created the server has to be restarted in order to show/use the new attribute.
I wonder if your use case can be handled differently. e.g. using Lists

basically just this, but without data ( in this case it just copies a data type/category/list item, which already is cool ) would be good enough
